Rules it can’t retroactively apply law that extends statute of limitations for child sex abuse cases

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the Utah Supreme Court has ruled that the State cannot retroactively apply this law.

“The legislature lacks the power to retroactively vitiate a ripened statute of limitations defense under the Utah Constitution.”
